Our client is a trading company and is engaged in a wide range of businesses globally. The broad range of sectors in which our client operates includes those related to automobiles, aerospace, mineral resources, chemicals, consumer goods, and so on.

Location: West Germany, North Rhine Westphalia

Key Tasks:

  • Managing Sales to customers or customer portfolios with growing track record
  • Building and maintaining long term relationship with customers and suppliers at all levels
  • Proactively developing new business in responsibility area
  • Initializing contacts with new customers and suppliers
  • Providing technical product information and promoting barrier materials to potential customers
  • Define priorities and plans time, budget and resources realistically to achieve objectives
  • Work as an effective member in international team
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Anticipate and adapt effectively to continuously moving market conditions
  • Ability to capture customer and supplier value for success of business

Requirements:

Education:

  • Master in Packaging Technology, Plastics Engineering, Chemistry or comparable or similar apprenticeship with several years of professional experience

Professional Experience:

  • Well qualified in international sales business (import & export)
  • Several years of job experience in this field of barrier packaging, in an international company
  • Experience in managing customers and business in wider range and proactively developing new business opportunities
  • Technical and commercial knowledge in plastics and films (barrier) packaging materials
  • Advanced knowledge of EVOH, tie-resin, Nylon Resins, Films such as BOPA and PET materials

Languages:

  • English (spoken and written)
  • German (spoken and written)
